Are the homemade cookies important, or is it the warm memories of your mother? Is the cost of the gift important, or the love with which it is given or received? Which matters more, the special eggnog or the shared laughter of extended family game night?
We have already spoken earlier about what makes Jesus happy, so now let's focus on you. Take a little time to quietly consider which aspects of the holiday observance mean the most to you and your happiness, and which might well be discarded and little or never missed.
Consider simplifying as much as possible, so that you can get the most out of this time and what it offers, while enduring the least stress and expense, personal and financial. We see it as a chance for you to share your love and appreciation for those wonderful souls who adorn your life and make it more beautiful: the ones who warm your soul from the very thought of them, the ones who are a delight to know, a joy and inspiration, the ones who give you faith that there is hope for this planet and humankind, after all.
We also hope that simplifying will clear the way and save you enough time and money that you can do more for those in real need this year. There are many ways to do this. Choose one or more that have real meaning for you. Make this your focus, and you will have the best and most fulfilling holiday season of your life.
We send you our love and blessings.
Namaste.
