What are you holding dear that stands between you and your God? The only obstacles lie within you. What choices are you making, what assumptions, what habits of thought or action are keeping you from your Best Beloved, from your joyous Destiny?
Are they worth it? Of course not! And we don't even have to know what they are, to say this with assurance. How could anything be worth placing more distance between yourself and your ultimate happiness and fulfillment? For this is what God offers.
You can't entirely avoid it, but you can delay it. Why would you want to? Is your life really so great right now?
Surrender. Make a gift of all these things, and offer them to your Creator. Offer them freely and joyously. They are the best gift you can bring to the Lord's table.
I want you, God, more than anything in my life. I want You more than my life, itself. Take me, take all of me, as I am, and do what You will of me. All that I am, I give to you. Help me to find my way to higher Service. Help me to become the best instrument of Your Light and Love that I can be, while I am here.
I surrender. I am Yours, completely and utterly Yours. I give myself to You this day. Help me to fulfill my potential for the Highest Good. I offer myself with love and trust.
