Committing means making up your mind, once and for all. It's your "final decision." How do they say it on that game show? Your "final answer."
It means that you have decided to make every effort to clear your mind of hatred, negativity, judgment, etc. That, when you catch yourself going that direction (and you will!), that you immediately work to put the brakes on it, and redirect your thoughts anew in a better direction. As we said before, we don't expect perfection, but we do hope for committed effort to retrain yourself and your thinking habits, and your emotions, for they are very intertwined.
Show good intention and good faith. Become aware of your limitations, your hot buttons, and continue to work on them.
Look for ways to spread lovingkindness wherever your path takes you. Be more patient with the frailties around you, and those within yourself. Find every way you can to be a force of Light and Love in your world. And know that this includes being loving and good to yourself.“Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.”
Keep your eyes on the good stuff, and view it with love and appreciation and gratitude. There is so much to be thankful for!
And relax, knowing that what you can't handle on your own, you can handle with God's help. (Remember to ask for it!) Or just chuck the matter into God's lap and leave it there. That's the key, leaving it there. Hint: You have to let go to do that. You'll be surprised how well that works, and how quickly you will get relief when you do that.
All of these things we talk about really do work. If you let them. And we hope you do.
We think the world of you.
Namaste.
