The more you practice it, the more natural it becomes to you, and the more wonderful things you will find and be grateful for, in the simple process of living your life. Some of them will turn out to seem pretty unlikely, at first.
Eventually, you'll find yourself even able to appreciate and enjoy your bad-tempered boss or neighbor. You'll find their displays of pique touch you less, and you'll find yourself seeing the angst and inner discomfort that leads to these ill-formed expressions, and you'll find compassion in your heart for this unhappy being, if only because their anger and flailing about is so unnecessary, so futile, and they have so much to learn.
We are all misguided and confused, each in our own way, until we find our way Home. We are each lost in a labyrinth of our own making, yet we don't realize we have the map within us, and the shears to cut it down at hand.
Because it's all God and God's work.
And God's work is never less than perfectly Right at all times, no matter how it looks or feels or seems on the surface.
Look deeper, and you'll find God. Everywhere, in everything, and every circumstance. And the more you do so, the less alarming your world will seem, and the more Divine Beauty you will find to celebrate in your heart and soul.
That idiot who cut you off in traffic this morning? You'll find love and appreciation for them, too. For they are amazingly precious. Which is reassuring, since we all play the idiot at some time or other. (Sorry, but it's true!)
So keep looking, my friends. Keep looking for more to be thankful for, more to appreciate. And then look deeper, still, until you see the Divine and Beauty in everything.
And then you'll realize you are Home.
Divine Love and Blessings to you from your friend,
Sananda
