Journey to single drumming recording:
A group of us are dancing to the drumbeat. It feels good to dance together. I’m bouncing in my chair and tapping my foot. It feels good.
Food comes in many forms. Not all of them are edible.
You can substitute one for another.
Dancing, especially together, is food. Because it feels good. This is how you can tell. It is uplifting. It is good for you. It nourishes the soul and the body.
Any creative endeavor is food, food for the mind, the heart, the essential being.
Beauty is food, love is food, cuddling is food. Sharing (sharing a smile, for example) is food.
Food is that which nurtures and nourishes you in the larger sense. Good food makes you want to come back for more. Good food makes you better, in some way, as a person.
Movement is food. Physical movement, movement of qi, movement of the mind.
Good food leads to expansion, not of the body necessarily, but also of the heart, the soul, the being in its entirely.
What about physical food, you ask? Choose it with your ultimate happiness and wellbeing in mind. Use the intuitive and divining tools you have to choose the food that speaks to your condition as an individual. It could truly be that each family member might really need something different on any given day.
Find a way that works for you and do simple testing with simple questions. It doesn’t necessarily mean you need to shop for obscure things. A simple indication of which item currently in your refrigerator is the best choice, would be a step in the right direction.
Shopping can be divided into a few major categories, then subdivided a bit to home in on what your body wants and needs for its health. You will be surprised and gratified at the results if you try this.
Also consider some basic questions about food groups and items of interest. For example, gluten, yea or nay? Citrus? Light or dark meat poultry?
By giving your body a voice, a say in its treatment, this along is very healing for it, for we tend to ignore and override it much of the time. Far better for you and your physical body to become partners and co-creators of your life experience and your health profile. Your body has much to tell you, if you give it a chance to. And this, too, is a form of food, for you and for it.
Think about this, and we will discuss this further at a later time.
Over and out, and thank you for taking the time to stop by.
Our regards to Ginger (the office cat, who had just jumped up onto the desk). (smile)
