Take care of yourself. There is no one else who can do it quite as well as you. There is no one as finely attuned to your various needs, as you are.
There is nothing selfish about caring for and about yourself. God cares about you, why shouldn't you? You deserve tender, loving care. Everyone does. So, be good to yourself.
Tell your inner critic to stuff a sock in it! You don't need that kind of frenemy, particularly when it is living inside of your head. Instead, learn to love and cherish yourself. Don't cut more corners when it comes to you, than you would for someone else. You don't get extra points for martyrdom!
Now, just to make this completely clear, we are not addressing this advice to the parents of infants and young children. In that case, loving and caring for them is very much akin to loving and caring for a little piece of yourself.
There are many other types of relationships that may tempt you to sublimate your needs to their demands. When you do this, you do them no favor, either.
Love yourself and care for yourself as though you were your dearest friend.
Because you are, Beloved. You are.
Love and blessings from us, your "next-dearest friends"!
Namaste.
Wonderful! Thank you!
