Welcome!

Welcome! I'm glad you found your way here. Spirit guides and ascended masters have been teaching me for over 25 years. It has been an educational, joyous and fulfilling journey. It's time to share it with you.

I am not doing this for fame or financial gain. My aim is solely to serve humanity and the Divine by listening, writing it down, and making it available to guide and inspire you. That is the sum total of my calling and my ambition.

I think there are people who need this. If you like what you see, please spread the word. If you find something you want to share, post a small portion and a link to the blog page from which it came. The URL for the article will pop up in your navigation bar when you click on the title. Cut and paste as needed. Spreading the word is the very best way to thank me and my sources.

There is enough material here to give you a lot to ponder; most of it is timeless. I encourage you to dig into the archives and see what speaks to you today.

Thank you for coming by. Know that the moment you made contact here, love and blessings have started flowing your way, from me, and from my many contacts. Even if you cannot hear them, they can hear you, so speak to them freely and know you are heard and understood. You never know, you just might get a reply!

Time Off

It's important to take time off. Your lives tend to be packed full of activities and obligations, things that stress you and stretch your resources.  You may feel that you hit the road running every day, and never really get to step back and take a break.

But you need to know that, in the scheme of things, a rhythm and balance is necessary, not just for your health and mental attitude, but for your growth and development as a human and spiritual being.

That is one of the reasons we have day and night, and one of the reasons your need for sleep is built in.

Your body and your soul, and all of the components of you need time off, and on a regular basis, to withdraw and repair, to better meet life's challenges and fulfill your potential.

You can try to ignore these needs, and sadly, today's society encourages this with caffeinated drinks and all night stores, entertainment, and eateries.  Pushing yourself harder, working and playing harder, doing more, and multitasking are some of the demigods of the day.

And what is it for?  Who is it for?  For you?  Often, it's not.  It's for your boss, or your volunteer work, or your family or friends.

We're not saying any of this is bad, simply that if you look, most of it isn't for you or about your welfare.  It's to please and succor someone else, human, machine, organization.  Someone who most likely does not have your wellbeing at heart.  Someone who considers their own agenda more important than you and yours.  Someone who may call you selfish if you stop catering so much to...them!

You need to take care of yourself and your needs, and one of your most important needs is for time off.  Time with no planned recreation, even, unless it's what you really want and really enjoy.  But, not a forced pace form of recreation, please.

You need to relax.  You need to unwind.  You need to give your inner self time to sort, and file, and catalog the many experiences of your active life, so that you can learn from them, master them, understand them better, and, when the time is right, let go of them and move on, move forward.

For this, you need something akin to idleness.  Running around on a tennis court won't do the job.

Your time off is important because it allows your being to build the foundation for your life and your future endeavors.  It takes time and space for you to step back. take a look at your achievements, and say "It is good."

Hmm, isn't that what God said when He looked at His creation?  That story actually contains a hint, doesn't it? If God needed a day off, a day of rest, don't you think you probably do?  A really empty day, now and again, to fill (or not) however you like.

We highly recommend it, in the name of balance, in the name of your personal structuring, in the name of your health and sanity and peace of mind.  Call it a "Catch-Up Day,"  but not for catching up on errands or chores.  If you need, take two days, and get those nagging things done on the first so you can slack off on the second.

In many ways, it's one of the most important things you can do.

We love and honor you.

Namaste.

  1. Beautiful reminder... I need a break! Think I'll take a catch up day - and soon. Easier said than done, but I know it's needed.

  4. I so agree with you Orea...it is what I call..letting the day unfold. I live that daily, not encumbering myself with overloaded schedules, timelines (Unless I have a plane to catch) or people. When my tank is full...I can then be there for others...when I choose...beautifully said...

  5. I have believed in unwinding and enjoying life for many years now, it's been an essential part of my routine. Overtime has been regularly refused as I opted to spend time with Erin and while I've been critized for that, I consider it a wise decision.

Everyone needs balance in their life and I believe in stressing that...What good is extra money or devoting one's extra time to pleasing others if you're miserable. I refuse to be a slave to the machine of greed or for others unless the input equals the output. That said, it's time for a nap :)Interesting post!!

  6. @Debra, sometimes it's a tall order, but maybe that's a signal that we need to take a look at our priorities, and move ourselves a little bit higher.

@Faye, That's a lovely idea. I wish I could go back in time and do that for my hard working mom.

@Raven, It's a nice way to live, isn't it. Those who can do that are blessed, indeed.

  7. Oh, and Debra, that was a great post. It's interesting how our early ambitions point to who we will become.

  8. @David, And you don't have to tell me that the value of your extra time with Erin is incalculable. There are many who won't understand that until it's too late, if ever. And that is their loss.
