Welcome!

Welcome! I'm glad you found your way here. Spirit guides and ascended masters have been teaching me for over 25 years. It has been an educational, joyous and fulfilling journey. It's time to share it with you.

I am not doing this for fame or financial gain. My aim is solely to serve humanity and the Divine by listening, writing it down, and making it available to guide and inspire you. That is the sum total of my calling and my ambition.

I think there are people who need this. If you like what you see, please spread the word. If you find something you want to share, post a small portion and a link to the blog page from which it came. The URL for the article will pop up in your navigation bar when you click on the title. Cut and paste as needed. Spreading the word is the very best way to thank me and my sources.

There is enough material here to give you a lot to ponder; most of it is timeless. I encourage you to dig into the archives and see what speaks to you today.

Thank you for coming by. Know that the moment you made contact here, love and blessings have started flowing your way, from me, and from my many contacts. Even if you cannot hear them, they can hear you, so speak to them freely and know you are heard and understood. You never know, you just might get a reply!

In Gratitude

To my surprise and delight, today I was given my first blog award.  I have been working hard on this site, as perhaps only another blogger knows.  The award was given to me by The Wacky Ex Wife, whose blog I recently discovered and have been enjoying.

Now there are a couple of rules to receiving The Versatile Blogger Award.  First, you have to thank the person who gave it you by linking back to their post.  Second, you have to tell seven things about yourself.   Third, you have to award 15 recently discovered new blogs.

Here are seven things about me:

1) I grew up in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio.  I still consider that Lake Erie is my personal lake.   I let other people borrow it.

2) I used to foster kittens for a rescue organization.  It was a lot of work, particularly when they were sick, but also very rewarding to watch them heal and grow and become confident little beings.  I still have my basket of kitten toys just in case I do it again.
Ginger and her kittens in their nesting box. You can see her pride and love here.
Ginger is still with me, and totally spoiled!
This little guy weighs about 19 pounds now, and rules the house.  He's still my "baby darling."

 3) I am emphatically not a morning person, but I wish I were.

4) I have two of the most amazing offspring on the planet.  And I'm not biased, either.  Really.

5) After 37 years of marriage, I still like and respect my husband.  Which I think means more than if I just said I still love him.  Which I do, most of the time.

6) We have a Keeshond who knows what we are going to do before we do.  It's embarrassing to be that transparent to a d-o-g.

Bear, the Psychic Keeshond.  When I ask him a question, I expect him to answer, and he usually does.

7) I walked around for about two days with a ruptured appendix before I went to the doctor to rule out appendicitis.  This was not bright.  Learn from my mistake and go see a doctor if you are sick. Diagnosing yourself can be hazardous to your health.

Kudos to Dr. Tran for spending three hours to "clean me out."  I told him later that it's not every week I get to say I spent Friday night with a handsome surgeon!   Too bad I was unconscious at the time.  When my gall bladder went six months later, Dr. Tran quipped, "You'll do anything to see me again, won't you?"  To which I replied, "Yes, but I'm running out of organs!"  I have mentally voted Dr. Tran as the man I'd most like to have for a son in law, but sadly, he's already married.

I hereby give this award to the following blogs I recently discovered, listed here in alphabetical order.

1) Ardith's Quest
2) Earning a Spiritual Living
3) Erin Is Love
4) Golden to Silver Val
5) GratitudeGraceandGod
6) Inspirational Blog by Psychic Quietsound (sm)
7) Knitting at Large
8) RiversGrace
9) Sacred Soul Shaman
10) Soft Voice of a Free Spirit
11) Soulful Journals
12) Speak Schmeak
13) The Evolutionary Life Project
14) Think Big Project
15) Wisdom and Life

  1. I am very flattered to have been singled out for an award, as well as being very curious how you found me. It seems, often, like a blogger sends her thoughts and feelings and dreams out into space never to be noticed or captured or read. Thank you for doing all of those things with Ardith's Quest.

    Your new blog friend,
    Ardith

  3. Congrats on the award. I love your list. All of them are great but ESPECIALLY like the married 37 years one. I have been married 39 and I hadn't thought to phrase it like that. Very "right on". Also, I am a big fan of Keeshonds and kittens.

You certainly derserve your award. Good job.

  4. Ardith, I think I found you via The Blog Farm. I know I've been reading you for a while now, so I can't be absolutely certain. But that's what comes to mind, and I think it's right.

Wacky, what I like to tell young people considering marriage is not to do it unless they are absolutely sure, and unless they really like each other as friends. "As long as we both shall live" is a very, very long time.

Cheryl, thank you. I know I'm far from perfect, so I don't expect my husband to be. I think it's fair to say we love each other in spite of our flaws. We are two odd ducks who found each other in a very improbable place. You know what he said to me once? "I didn't fall in love. I jumped!" LOL That's sweet.

I could write an entire blog on living with a Keeshond. He is amazing. I think I'll post a picture of him if I can. He's a pretty boy and he knows it. I like to say to DH, all of our pets are better looking than we are! LOL

  5. Congratulations on this award! I loved reading your responses.
That's so wonderful that you are such an animal lover and also happily married - we have both of those in common!
Thank you so much for passing it along to me - I'm truly touched.

  6. Congratulations on receiving this award and thank you so very much for including me in your list to receive it from you. I truly appreciate your thoughtfulness. I am so glad you enjoy what I write....that, in itself, is award enough. Thank you again. I will get to work and pass it along also. Have a wonderful weekend. I will be back and hope you continue to visit me as well. I'll keep the coffee hot and the porch light on for ya.
