On Letting Go and Moving On - Osho

“Don’t be unnecessarily burdened by the past. Go on closing the chapters that you have read; there is no need to go back again and again. And never judge anything of the past from the new perspective that is arriving, because the new is new, incomparably new and the old was right in its own context, and the new is right in its own context, and they are incomparable”~Osho

  1. Osho's quote on moving on in life is so accurate but it seems human nature keeps one eye focused on the past. I do believe it's important to never forget the past but relish the memories while learning something from the experience. That said chapters must end and new ones began....Blessings :)

  2. I strongly agree with Osho . He is one of the wisest and most Emotionally intelligent people lived on Earth , along with Buddha . What he emphasizes on in this quote is , not forgetting the past , but the importance of how incomparable past and prescient are . As the context of it all . dead on right , Osho !

  3. Thank you, David and V, for your valuable responses. I think it's important, as Osho is saying, to value both the past and present, each in its own context. If you try to judge one time by the standards of another, the meaning can change completely.
